The Marsh Brothers Band prides itself on successfully bringing original music to DC metro area venues for nearly 30 years. Appearing in bars, restaurants, breweries, community events and private engagements, this band’s music blends rock, blues, reggae and country into danceable and memorable gigs.

Sweet harmonies and thoughtful lyrics are just part of what brings this band’s fans out. Combining original music with loved cover tunes, the Marsh Brothers Band can tailor sets to many audiences. Top-quality sound design/control and professional ethics give venue managers peace of mind as they bring the band back again and again for regular and special events.

Brothers Greg and Doug have won individual awards for songwriting and music mastery. While both have performed internationally, keeping it local allows them to build a dependable following.

The Marsh Brothers’ sound is augmented by Tom Labrie, one of the area’s most distinctive lead guitar players. His mesmerizing guitar work leaves a lasting impression. Keyboard virtuoso Barnaby Bristol adds color and depth to the band's music, and drummer Richard Bishop brings a versatility and energy that powers the band. The band and audiences get an energy boost from frequent guest musicians, local favorites who add harmony, harmonica or sax parts.

The Marsh Lovers duo was a spin-off project from 2016 that gained popularity and has showed staying power. Greg is joined by wife Lisa in both rocking and soulful tunes, perfect for venues that don’t want a full band.

Lisa’s songwriting and picking style bring flair and depth, as chemistry between the two performers engages fans and creates new friends. The pair’s original songs become fan favorites, from the topical to the timeless. We love it when audiences sing along in their seats or join us onstage.

Creativity and innovation make each gig a special occasion.

Sound Design and Open Mic

Marsh Music prides itself on crafting expert sound. Loud enough to energize but quiet enough to have a conversation, our music respects your hearing.

Lisa and Greg host area open mics, giving musicians a supportive setting to perform, and backing them up as requested.

In addition, Lisa runs sound for other musicians, using either her system or theirs.
